Viktor Tsoi as a man-epoch: personality in the context of culture, culture in the context of personality

The article deals with the interinfluence of personality and culture on the example of a confabulated image of Victor Tsoi''s personality. The leader of the rock band "Kino" was one of the first in the Soviet Russia who acquired a special status; he became an idol in his lifetime and a legend after death. Viktor Tsoi was the idol of the rebellious era of the 1980s, when the old political system entered an era of crisis, generating the underground phenomenon. V. Tsoi''s traits and the facts of his life have undergone considerable mythologization. The life and work of V. R. Tsoi, as a product of that time, became a symbol of the era of change, reflecting the expectations and sentiments of the younger generation. Romantic image created during the mythologization of his biography remains relevant for future generations of young people.
