A person in the global virtual space: philosophical dimension

The article carries out philosophical analysis of some aspects of human life in the modern information era. The author shows that the convergence of information technologies of communication and mass media has led to the formation of a fundamentally different environment of human life - the global virtual space. It is concluded that the simultaneous presence of a human in the physical and virtual realities makes a destructive impact on personality, redounding to the loss of identity, transformation of subjectivity and modification of corporeity.
