The aim of the study is to numerically analyze the effect of damages and defects of various types and levels on the fatigue life of blades and impellers of axial and radial turbomachines. In the field of turbine technology, it is of particular importance to increase the durability and reliability of turbine blades, especially in conditions of defects and parameter adjustments. Defects such as cracks, corrosion, material irregularities, etc., can significantly reduce the service life of components, causing the risk of accidents and increasing operating costs. The article presents a numerical analysis of the effect of parameter adjustments related to turbine blade defects on their durability. The research includes the development of mathematical models based on the finite element method (FEM) to assess the impact of damage on the strength characteristics of the working blades of pipe machines. The research methodology is based on the use of FEM using modern software systems, as well as machine learning algorithms. The analysis results showed that impeller fatigue life varies significantly depending on the location and orientation of cracks and damage. These findings can be used to develop diagnostic and service life prediction methods for turbomachines, as well as to optimize their design to improve operational reliability. The study demonstrates the possibility of increasing the durability of the blades by purposefully changing their geometric parameters.
