Fictionalized journalism: clarifying the term

The article considers the phenomenon of so-called fictionalized journalism and its reception in the Russian philological tradition of the 20 th century. The article shows that three markedly different kinds of text are united under the heading «fictionalized journalism»: popular science text, descriptive journalism and the unity of fiction and journalism. The refusal to distinguish between the phenomena has resulted in building a large and incoherent group whose members share no common ground though may superficially resemble each other.
