The sense of nature in V. Ya. Shishkov’s novel “Ugryum river”

The socio-philosophical comprehension of man’s attitude to nature and the impact of the nature on the inner world of the main character are the subjects of the research. The concept of the individual in the post-revolutionary literature undergoes considerable changes. The article focuses on how this evolution is taking the artistic shape in Shishkov’s novel “Ugryum River”. A special place is given to the analysis of the landscape functions in the writing, the romantic features in the image of the main character, the role of a myth in formation of the national consciousness. It is emphasized that the “sense of nature” in the works of V. Shishkov integrates the author’s ideological and artistic principles.
