The modern economic environment, characterized by increasing instability and accelerating digitalization, is shaping new conditions of employment, imposing on workers the need for continuous development of digital and financial competencies. The risks emerging in the context of labor market transformation, including the perceived threat of job loss, necessitate the study of factors that can reduce subjective vulnerability. The aim of the study was to identify the relationship between the level of digital financial literacy and the subjective assessment of job loss risk, understood as the experienced likelihood of losing one’s current position. The empirical data collected through an online survey of 555 respondents, differing in gender, age, education, income, and religiosity, were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Mann – Whitney test, Spearman’s correlation analysis, and factor analysis, which made it possible to identify a two-component structure of the Job Insecurity Scale. The findings showed that digital financial literacy – once established and manifested through the use of digital financial tools – is associated primarily with positive expectations regarding career prospects, whereas the level of immediate anxiety about potential job loss remains similar across groups with different levels of digital literacy. Correlational analysis revealed the role of sociodemographic characteristics and cultural-value orientations, which may either intensify or mitigate the experienced risk. The conclusions drawn allow digital financial literacy to be considered a significant resource for the professional resilience of the Russian population.
