Digital economy in Russia: concept, genesis, development prospects

The digital economy is a strategic tool to reduce the existing technological gap between Russia and the leading countries of the world. The chronological order of the genesis of the digital economy is laid out. An analysis of the key indicators of the development of the digital economy for 2017-2022 has been carried out, and the most important features of the digital economy formation model have been identified. The main directions of development of the digital economy in the Russian Federation for the future are formulated.
