Situational macroeconomic and geopolitical conditions contribute to the development of domestic tourism and stimulate the sale of deferred demand resources in regions with tourist and recreational specialization. Despite the negative consequences for the hospitality industry, which reacts sensitively to restrictions on activities, some types of services, according to expert forecasts, will recover much faster, since they are most in demand by various groups of the population. First of all, we are talking about medical and health tourism, which performs not only economic, but also social tasks to preserve and strengthen human health. Tourist territories and destinations are forced to compete for the domestic tourist flow, so it is necessary to take into account a set of factors and conditions that affect the consumer's choice. Digital technologies that provide a modern person with the necessary level of comfort, speed and quality of services provided should be highlighted. The object of research in the article is health and wellness services, the subject of research is the directions of digital transformation of the process of health and wellness services, expected effects and risks. Digital trends in the field of health tourism are associated with an innovative strategic approach to the development of medical services and ensuring high management results in this area. The described global process was called digital transformation and affected almost all functional areas of health and wellness programs, technologies and the internal production cycle. Significant potential in terms of improving the quality of service is significantly limited by current conditions and risks. First of all, these are significant investments in equipment, infrastructure, and software. The risk factor is the adaptation of personnel, their training and the acquisition of digital competencies necessary to perform functional duties at a high level. The role of medical personnel in this process, risks and directions of optimization of functions are characterized. The most common medical services based on digital technologies are investigated: telemedicine or virtual doctor's call, remote monitoring of the patient's health status. Strategic directions of digitalization of medical and health services in the conditions of the sanatorium-resort complex are proposed.
