Digital industrial transformation based on artificial intelligence

The article examines the practical significance of the development of artificial intelligence for Russian industries in the context of the adopted National Strategy. To reveal the essence of the concept of artificial intelligence, approaches to definition, including system, functional, process, managerial, technological, resource, behavioral, have been systematized. Domestic and foreign assessment methods are considered, the expediency of using the Global Artificial Intelligence Index to analyze its impact on economic development is justified. The dependence of the gross domestic product per employed person in the countries of the world on the development of artificial intelligence is visualized. Reliance between the increase in the volume of industrial production and the Global Artificial Intelligence Index are revealed on the example of individual industries in the extractive and manufacturing sectors of the economy. In oil production, the dependence of production volumes is more clearly traced than in the production of passenger cars.
