Digital transformation of external factors of competitiveness of companies

The article is devoted to the transformation of traditional external factors of the competitiveness of Russian enterprises in the context of digital economy. The transition to a digital structure causes a shift in competition towards digital technologies, as well as a general change in the conditions for doing business, which are determined by the industry and the region in which the business operates. There is a subjective component of the external factors of competitiveness - the image of digitalization on the part of the region, and specific factors that determine the industry. An objective assessment of the environment digitalization includes the calculation of the “Network readiness of the Russian Federation subject” Index by the region, and the processing of statistical information on hygiene factors in the industry. A consolidated matrix is proposed for assessing the competitiveness of a Russian enterprise in terms of digitalization of its environment of functioning. Possible competitive business strategies based on the digitalization level of the industry and the Russian Federation subject are shown.
