Digitalization as a factor in improving the investigation of crimes within the competence of the customs authorities of the Russian Federation

This article analyzes the impact of digital transformation on the process of investigating criminal cases within the competence of the customs authorities of the Russian Federation. A comprehensive analysis of scientific papers on the subject of the work studied by the author is carried out. The problems and issues that may arise during the investigation of crimes in the form of an inquiry are outlined and ways to solve the identified problems are proposed. Among other things, it is proposed to improve the procedure for fi ling a declaration for goods using information technology. The author highlights in the article the tremendous work carried out by the Federal Customs Service of Russia on the timely implementation of scientific and technical achievements in their professional activities.
