Digital skills of students in computer science

The study of computer science makes a significant contribution to the achievement of the main goals of basic general education specified in the educational standards. The goals and objectives of studying informatics in the Kyrgyz Republic are considered. The main directions for the formation of digital competencies and skills are listed on the example of the basic (5-9 grades) level of the informatics course. The framework of the educational program in computer science "K-12" of the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) on the formation of digital skills of schoolchildren is presented. Exemplary knowledge, abilities and skills, formed at the level of 7-9 grades in the course of informatics, are described.
