The course towards accelerating social and economic processes in our country, as well as a number of problems in international cooperation against the backdrop of a slowdown in the global economy, sets the customs authorities to optimize various forms of activity to create a favorable environment for the implementation of business processes. The solution of the tasks associated with the structural restructuring of the customs administration system based on the use of digital technologies. At the same time, it is necessary that not only customs, but the entire business environment, change. The article analyzes the results of the ongoing organizational and structural reform of the customs system. The problems to be resolved in the near future are outlined.
