Cyclic processes of the dynamic system of Russian education

The article deals with the phenomenon of cyclicality of the Russian educational system throughout the entire period of the Russian history. The author defines the concept of "educational cycle", distinguishes its main stages. The paper describes five educational cycles in the history of Russian education: two original (where socio-cultural basis of the educational system is presented by the norms, traditions and values typical for the Russian culture) - Moscow and Soviet, and three innovative (which have distinctive character of innovations borrowed from educational systems of different cultures or arisen in the framework of the national culture) - Kiev-Byzantine, imperial, modern.
