Expression of circulating microRNA-199А in chronic viral hepatitis and their significance

MicroRNAs are short non-coding RNA molecules with a length of 19-23 nucleotides that regulate various physiological and pathophysiological processes. The aim of the study was to study the expression of microRNA-AA in chronic (HVGV and hvgs.) viral hepatitis. Materials and methods. The material for the study was blood plasma samples of 76 patients with chronic viral hepatitis and 30 healthy individuals. Results. The level of expression of microRNA-AA was significantly higher in HVGV and hvgs compared with the control group. Summary. Further study of microRNA-AA expression as promising non-invasive markers will determine the potential of these microRNAs as early predictors of liver fibrosis, liver cirrhosis and HCC.
