"Civilization" in the interdisciplinary context of modern Russian studies

The article reveals the main research strategies of social scientists in the study of “civilizations”, allowing the use of ideas and concepts related to the history of scientific trends. The common for philosophy, sociology, culturology and history of typology, dynamics and bases of civilizations in the literature are revealed. It also shows a scentist version of the civilization theory, vector-static approaches, culture as the basis of civilization, cultural-civilization complex, conflict and interaction of civilizations, global transformations of civilizations. In the main section of the article it is considered as the developers of the civilizational approach to the history of Russia revealed the interaction of anthropological, cultural and social foundations of civilizations. Methodological self-determination of the civilization approach is analyzed. The article studies the coverage of the possibilities of civilizational and cultural approaches to determine the specifics of the Russian civilization, to make the theoretical positions more specific and to overcome the abstractness in the study of the Russian society. It is concluded that a significant scientific potential in the field of civilization has been accumulated. Development of the problems of “philosophy of civilizations”, “sociology of civilizations”, “psychology of civilizations” could expand the heuristic base of civilizational historical research.
