The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept of colour as a multifunctional art model. The main idea is that a work of art based on the fact that the colour component has a dominant value enables viewers to perceive both the level of perception of the painting itself and the level of perception of a particular colour structure and colour. The task of the viewer in the perception of a work of art is to identify multiple meanings contained in composition, form, sign and symbol, process and image.
