The article raises questions concerning color revolutions as instruments of foreign policy of the United States and the Western European countries. The author introduces and defines the concept of the Anglo-American political alliance, which is an informal alliance of political organizations in the US and the UK, and of some parties of the Western Europe under their control. The author reveals the reasons for which the use of technologies of color revolutions is becoming one of the methods of international politics, as well as a way to achieve geopolitical objectives of certain countries. In the context of the destruction of the unipolar model of the world, the US and its allies are losing their hegemonic position in the world politics. The countries that claim to have a major role in the international relations, such as Russia, China, India, Latin American countries, are seen more and more prominent in the international arena. On this background the success of the colored revolutions allows the Anglo-American political alliance to keep (or impose) control of the governments, as well as to protect the global dominance of the Western liberal-democratic paradigm of social order. These objectives are achieved by means of a so called puppet government, which is acquiring the authority in the country through a coup d'etat disguised as a revolution. The article gives examples of political and military organizations, which are created by the United States and their Western allies with the objective of ideological and strategic preparation of color revolutions in the regions.
