This article discusses the model of the description of artistic porcelain proposed by the Leningrad writer Kira Mikhailovskaya as belonging to the intellectual history of Soviet culture. This model reconciles representativeness and texture for the first time since the experience of the Russian avant-garde, and creates the notion of dynamic texture as the basis of a new reality of vital redundancy in porcelain. This mode of description is ingrained in the writer's works of fiction, showing the limitation of fantasy to the steady qualities of imaginary objects. The question is asked about the relevance of this method for the description of arts and crafts as aesthetically productive and for a more extensive grasp of the functioning of cultural heritage.
