Defederalization of Russia: problems and prospects

This article examines the issue of federalism in the Russian Federation. Attention is also drawn to the amendments to the Constitution of Russia adopted in 2020, as well as other changes in legislation on the territorial structure. The legal genesis of this constitutional legal institution is evaluated. The authors conclude that the federal structure of Russia is undergoing changes, acquiring new features of territorial organization.
