The shortage of qualified personnel as one of the major problems of the Russian oilfield services

The article deals with the causes of shortage of qualified personnel in the Russian oilfield services. The author considers factors adversely affecting the efficiency of the industry. The authors believe that one of the reasons determining the shortage of the qualified personnel in the oilfield service of Russia is the sanctions. The role of the tangible and intangible components of oilfield workers' motivation is discussed. It is concluded that there is the need to attract the attention of the government, oil and oil service companies to the issue. The authors suggest the priority areas of the problem solving by the state and the enterprises of the industry.
