Contact deformation between ophiolitic and paleoisland arc complexes of the southern part of Polar Urals

A successive phases of deformation were disclosed as a result of studying of structural characteristics of the contact zone of ophiolite and paleoisland-arc complexes of the southern part of the Polar Urals. It has been found that faults of the contact zone were involved in left- and right-shear displacements on a post thrust stage of the collision. At a later stage of the collision the contraction occurred along and then across the Ural orogenic belt.
