Deformation of the values of professional ethics of customs officials

The article examines the role of moral and ethical values as a component of the professional ethics of a customs officer. In modern conditions, under the influence of both objective and subjective factors, the behavior model of a civil servant often undergoes negative transformations, the moral values of professional ethics are deformed and distorted. Despite the fact that the activities of the Federal Customs Service are focused on the implementation of the provisions of the Code of Ethics and Official Conduct of Officials of the Customs Authorities of the Russian Federation, the facts of violation of legal and moral and ethical standards by customs officers do not become an exception to the general rules. It is necessary to continue studying the causes of the ongoing deformations and to outline the directions of strengthening the moral stability of customs workers.
