Legal awareness deformation: causes, consequences, problems and ways to solve them

The article identifies the causes and consequences of the deformation of legal awareness, as well as the problems caused by it and ways to solve them. In the conditions of modern Russia, the formation of an adequate and stable legal awareness of citizens is of particular importance. The effectiveness of legal regulation, the stability of public order, the development of civil society and the rule of law depend on its quality, which is repeatedly emphasized in the Constitution of the Russian Federation and other official documents. At the same time, practice demonstrates the active spread of such negative phenomena as legal nihilism, legal idealism and legal infantilism, which have consequences not only for the legal system, but also for society as a whole. In particular, their combined influence makes it difficult to implement the constitutional principles of the rule of law and civil society, and also undermines public confidence in the legal system, which actualizes the requirement for their immediate study with the subsequent development of measures to overcome them.
