The article reviews the history of activities of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) in Russia. Particular attention is paid to the period of Revolution and the Civil War, when the Association’s activities in Russia reached its maximum development. The YMCA’s activities in Russia turned out to be not successful and have not contributed to the credibility of the organization. The YMCA failed to retain politically neutral positions.
