The article presents a study on the activities of archpriest Nikolay Malinovsky (1861–1917) as rector of the Vologda Theological Seminary. It is based on archival materials and diary entries of Nikifor Ilyinsky, assistant inspector of the Vologda Seminary as well as on the materials of the Russian State Historical archive of St. Petersburg and the State Archive of the Vologda region. A significant part of them is being introduced into scientific circulation for the first time.
