The measures of the Republic / USSR revolutionary council of war aimed for the institutional strengthening of the Red army during the period of its transferring to a peace-time footing (1921-1923)

The article is devoted to the main directions of the Republic/USSR Revolutionary Council of War policy in the institutional strengthening of the Red Army during the period of its transferring to a peace-time footing after the Civil War. The authors reveal that the reduction of the army was executed simultaneously with the measures aimed for the improvement of the technical equipment and the reorganization of the administration of the army.
