Activities of Russia in the WTO: past, present and future

In recent years, the national economies of States have become increasingly interdependent, and such interdependence has become necessary, since international trade actively contributes to this process and plays an important role in the economic development of the countries of the world. Russia's full access to world trade markets as an equal partner was made possible by its membership in the WTO. Participation in this international organization enables Russia to create more favorable conditions for access to world markets of goods and services on the basis of predictability and stability of trade relations with WTO members. However, along with the advantages of our country being in the WTO, certain obligations and opportunities for pressure on the Russian economy from other participants appear.
