Russian government activities in the competition in the foreign market in the first half of the 18th century (on the example of state potash exports)

The article deals with Russian government activities aimed at rise of home production competitiveness in the foreign market in the first half of the 18th century. The research was carried out on the materials of potash export made at state enterprises. At that time potash sale was one of the most significant sources of foreign silver inflow to the state treasury. That is why the government paid a great attention to the problem. The article analyses measures both of stimulation of the demand of Russian potash and displacement of competitors from the market.
