Activities of the investigator on searching suspects and the accused, absconed during the investigation

The article deals with the problems associated with the search for a suspect accused in criminal proceedings. It studies the conditions and grounds for the suspension of criminal proceedings on the grounds provided for in paragraph 2 of Part 1 of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. The main tasks of the investigator's search activity are considered. Attention is focused on declaring persons on the wanted list, if there are sufficient reasons for that. The investigative and search actions and versions, as well as instructions drawn up by the investigator, have been analyzed.
