The article considers the main provisions of French constitutional acts: the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen of 1793 and the Constitution of France in 1793. The norms that have consolidated a new approach to the relationship between society and the state, the individual and the state, society and the individual are examined. A transition to people's sovereignty and a tendency to consolidate the foundations of direct democracy are also indicated.
