Decorative and applied art in the system of children’s artistic education

The article gives the analysis of the effectiveness of decorative and applied art educational programs in the system of artistic education. It is noted that such programs promote creative development, self-expression, unlock the intellectual and creative potential of children as well as form the leaners’ understanding of cultural traditions and values through practical activities. Decorative and applied art plays an important role in the formation of manual labor skills and creative thinking. Practicing this type of art develops fine motor skills and cognitive abilities, which makes it an integral part of artistic education.
