Delocalization of public spaces of modern city: culturological analysis

On the basis of allocation of difference of the modern large cities and the cities of the beginning of the XX century in article describes the ratio between public spaces and common spaces is considered. It is shown that in some cases they coincide, however between them there is an essential distinction: the common space is connected with common, the general, and collective, while public space is connected with what be in the public eye and at the same time is deep and personally significant. Change of functions of public spaces, the caused ability of electronic media to overturn the relation between public and private life is traced. Thanks to new digital technologies, the space-time parameters of human perception and experience have expanded: an individual can perceive information and act remotely, therefore the very place of a person's physical location has delocalized. The new characteristics of spaces of the modern city are presented in article.
