The article is devoted to the history of Demidov educational institutions in pre-revolutionary St. Petersburg. They will celebrate 170th anniversary in 2017. The curriculum of these schools combines general education and vocational schools. Demidov house included a children's shelter, women's gymnasium, women's vocational schools for training domestic servants, specialists in sewing, hat, flower business, commercial bookkeeping, and foreign language teachers.
