The article deals with an attempt to assess in monetary terms the usefulness of non-market forest and forest plantations in monetary terms: anti-erosion, shelter and water protection functions of forest resources. The evaluation is performed at the regional level: the value of all forest and forest plantations of the Volgograd Region was determined.
