Wooden items of horse trappings from the Dargavs catacomb cemetery in North Ossetia

The paper analyzes wooden items of horse trappings from Dargavs, which is a medieval catacomb cemetery of the Alan culture located in North Ossetia. All items analyzed originate from graves of the mid-8th - early 9th centuries. Morphology of two fragments of wooden lashes, a wooden stirrup and a comb is discussed in details. The conclusions presented in the paper expand our knowledge on horse equipment components used by the Alan population.
