Determination of social behaviour in the network society (M. Castells's conception)

The article deals with the conception of M. Castells about the network form of social organization of the entire society, the emergence of which he connects with the advent of informational capitalism. The author analyses its common features and their manifestations in the fields of economy and culture. It is concluded that social behaviour today is largely determined by the multimedia networks.
