The article analyses relation of German textbooks for reading of the first half of the XIXth century with “The Children’s World” by K.D.Ushinskiy. The author concentrates on interaction of Ushinskiy with German pedagogical culture and its creative learning in making а schoolbook for Russian gymnasiums and county specialized schools.
