Devaluation of ruble: possible advantages and consequences for the Russian economy

This article examines the impact of devaluation of the national currency on Russian economy. Also it considers such indices as changes in volume of imports and exports, GDP and international reserves, the size of interventions of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the volume of the external and public debt under the influence of a significant devaluation of the ruble versus the dollar and the euro. By results of the analysis indicated both positive and negative sides of the ruble devaluation.
