This article analyzes the popular approaches to the concept of communicative competence and clarifies the concept of communicative competence of a teacher as a set of three constituent components: cognitive, praxeological and axiological. A diagnostic model of communicative competence of a bachelor - a future teacher of mathematics is being developed on the basis of its approach.
