The article substantiates the educational potential of the biography-focused diagnostic methods. Based on the biography-oriented conception of education by the German educator W. Loch the author shows the possibilities of the biographical approach to correspond reflexively with a problem case, to guide a teacher in selection of appropriate diagnostic methods and modes of interpretational analysis of the obtained data.
