Emergency healthcare physicians usually have a wide range of tasks while treating a patient with a purulent disease. Early opening and drainage of the infection source is certainly one of the most important tasks. Due to the obvious causes of purulent diseases, they often seem easy to treat. However, sometimes, a patient has no objective risk factors, and the reason for the disease development is unclear. Most often the reason remains unknown due to the rapid patient’s recovery, although many patients have multiple episodes of disease recurrence afterwards without knowing that the problem may be caused by chronic osteomyelitis, which requires absolutely different treatment.
