The article examines methods for diagnosing the formation of regulatory metasubject competencies in second grade students. A total of 95 students participated in group and individual experiments on the material of non-educational content tasks. The study found that the use of complexes of two tasks, differing in complexity, makes it possible to more fully characterize the formation of regulatory metasubject competencies than the use of individual tasks.
