Diachronic aspects of the interaction between ordinary and theoretical consciousness: statement of the problem

In the 20th century, Marxism was considered the main contender for the role of a philosophy capable of explaining the world and changing it for the better. However, failures in the field of political projects and internal theoretical contradictions led to undeserved discrediting of Marxist philosophy in the eyes of the public and scientific community. The article provides a socio-philosophical analysis of modern philosophical concepts that claim to explain the causes of the crisis state of human civilization and the search for a possible way out of it. The author proceeds from the fact that the relevant concepts and narratives can be reduced to two points of view on the historical past, present and possible prospects of humanity: apologetic-optimistic and critical-pessimistic. The theoretical and practical potential in overcoming the crisis state of each of these points of view is assessed. The necessity of a new form of dialectical-materialistic solution to the problem of increasing crisis trends in the development of society is proved. As such a solution, the model of diachronic aspect of the interaction of everyday and theoretical consciousness as a supplement to the materialist understanding of history is proposed.
