The dialogue of traditions in the modern novel (on the example of "The candle" by V. A. Zalotukha)

The author of the article reveals the genre specifics of V.A. Zalotukha’s novel "The Candle". The dominant features of the epic narrative are considered through the prism of the interaction of the traditions of Christian and secular Russian literature. An attempt is made to prove that the originality of the formof the work is determined by the postmodernist hybridization of traits of mediatexts and texts of fiction.
