Today Islam is the most discussed and mentioned religion in the world, although not all of these references are benevolent. Why did the Islamic caliphate stop its attack on Europe at the end of the 17th century and began to roll back Islam? Since the 18th century, the West has seen Muslim civilization as the colonial mining region and the transfer of money for the development of the Western European civilization. This preceded the rapid rise of Islam in the 21st century. Is an Dialogue East-West possible today and what are its prospects? The time has come to talk about Islam in the language of wisdom, poetry, philosophy, and begin to develop ideological foundations on which one could carry out full-fledged propaganda and informational activity to counter extremism and international terrorism. Otherwise, all of us, and especially our young people, will become hostages of the geopolitical game of the West, when the danger of war becomes the tragic reality of a universal scale. A full-fledged dialogue requires the participating national states to create a clear constitutional and legal framework for the activities of religious communities, groups, organizations, both outside and inside the country. What hinders today the active interaction East-West, the dialogue of religions, cultures and civilizations, and what needs to be overcome? Willingness to admit that neither Christianity nor Islam represent the only truth, but only together seek and find it through love, wisdom and goodness.
