The article substantiates the idea that the formation of theoretical abstraction as a specific form of reflection inherent in a person should occupy a leading position in didactics. From the standpoint of a systematic approach, the expediency of the didactic method of modeling as the most effective resource for the formation and development of thinking and speech of subjects of the educational process is substantiated.
