Individual approach in teaching is a specific type of teaching techniques which is mostly related to cognitive demands of students and their individual features as it makes a student an active participant of the educational process and also allows to see their tasks and goals over the whole period of learning a foreign language in perspective. This article is a compilation of the existing theoretical knowledge and a summary of practical observations in the sphere of differential teaching which can be applied at any level of learning a foreign language in high school.
