The dilemma of "Have or to be?" in the philosophy of Erich Fromm

The subject of the article is the actual problem of the correlation of the two ways of human being - "to have" and "to be." Modern culture, called the "consumption culture," radicalizes the question posed by Erich Fromm, in its most everyday manifestations. It is becoming increasingly difficult for a person to realize the need for "authenticity". This fact actualizes the study of both the process of alienation to which a modern person is exposed, and the need to overcome this alienation.
