The purpose of the work was to study the dynamics of catalase activity in the body of Peking ducks during ontogenesis at different periods of the year. It has been established that ROS formation increases with age. Our study revealed an increase in catalase activity in birds under the influence of low temperatures, which is associated with an attempt to eliminate ROS, the level of which was at a higher level under these conditions. We also observed the influence of not only the environment, but also age on catalase activity, which potentially indicates a higher antioxidant capacity in younger animals. The highest enzyme activity was established at the age of 90 days. In the tissues and organs of birds, the highest activity was found in blood serum, liver, heart and lung tissues.
